Turn Photos into Moving Images with Plotagraph

I absolutely love time-lapse photography. I just don’t have a lot of patience for it, or the people I’m with don’t have a lot of patience for it. That’s why I’m excited about this new app called Plotagraph+.

Plotagraph+ is an image animation app that lets you turn your still images into moving pictures, and it’s so easy anyone can do it.

In this post, I’m going to show you how to use Plotagraph to make incredible moving pictures like the one below from your still photos.

GoPro on a Hula Hoop

Every once in a while I get the urge to do something interesting with my GoPro. Yesterday was one of those days.

I decided to tape my GoPro to my daughter’s hula hoop and see what happens. She’s getting pretty good at the Hula Hoop, so I thought she’d be able to keep it up for a while. I was right.

We got a TON of painter’s tape (the only tape I had around the house) and just secured the GoPro as good as we could to the hoop. I set the camera up to record 60 frames per second at 1080p (I have a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver Edition), and then after I got the video into my phone, I slowed it down a bit on iMovie and saved it again at 1080p.

I’m no DevonSuperTramp (his hula hoop video is awesome!), but it was fun to do and made us smile. I love the look on my daughter’s face as she concentrates on keeping the hoop going.

Do you have a GoPro? Where’s the craziest place you’ve ever made a video from?

Super NES Classic Coming Again?

There’s all sorts of nostalgia happening in the world right now. I’m trying to resist the urge to go to a Vanilla Ice concert at the State Fair coming up, but I might not be able to resist getting a Super NES Classic when it is released this September.

According to this article on TechCrunch, Nintendo will be releasing a Super NES Classic console on September 29.

Of the list of games that is coming with it, I’m most excited about Mario Kart and Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Since my kids got a Nintendo Switch earlier this year, they’ve been playing Mario Kart Deluxe and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

I need to get this to take them back to the roots of their games.

What about you? Are you excited for the NES Classic Console?

Protect Your Online Identity with 1Password

Target, Home Depot, Gmail…all of these companies have been HACKED in the last year. We are putting more and more of our personal information online. You don’t need to be paranoid, but you do need to start taking some steps to protect that information. One of the ways to do that is to have really strong passwords.

A strong password is one that is unique, which means you shouldn’t use the same passwords on every site. But who has time to make (and remember great passwords)?

That’s where 1Password comes in. It’s a program (or phone app) that creates great, strong, unique passwords and stores them for you so you don’t have to remember all of them.
