Protect Your Online Identity with 1Password

Target, Home Depot, Gmail…all of these companies have been HACKED in the last year. We are putting more and more of our personal information online. You don’t need to be paranoid, but you do need to start taking some steps to protect that information. One of the ways to do that is to have really strong passwords.

A strong password is one that is unique, which means you shouldn’t use the same passwords on every site. But who has time to make (and remember great passwords)?

That’s where 1Password comes in. It’s a program (or phone app) that creates great, strong, unique passwords and stores them for you so you don’t have to remember all of them.

It locks them all into a vault that is protected by a master password. That’s the only one you have to remember.

Then it syncs to all of your devices so you always have all of your passwords at your fingertips. In fact, on iOS, you can get into your 1Password app with touch ID.

You can also save your important information in 1Password. I have my passport, driver’s license, and other important things stored in there. When I’m on the plane and I need my passport number, I have it at my fingertips because it’s in the 1Password app on my phone.

Oh…another bonus is that now I don’t have to ask my wife what the password is for every site I visit. I just look for it in 1Password.

NOTE: 1Password is on sale right now (as of the time of this writing). So what are you waiting for? Get it now and get protected!
